About Me

I consider myself an adaptive, positive, easy going individual who is optimistic about life. This is in no small part due to my being married to the most loving, wonderful wife in the world who puts up with my crazy ideas and hours and my super smart and adorable baby girl who wants to see what daddy’s doing on the computer. I like to rip things apart (mostly software) to see how they work and most of the time I manage to put them back together. My desire to understand how things worked and change them if I thought there was a better way, drew me to open source software.

I program mainly in my spare time (of which now there is not very much) on any number of projects that either solve problems I’ve encountered while working or technologies I find interesting and decide to experiment with so I have experience with them. I enjoy challenges and finding new ways to use things I know or have.

I like to travel the conceptual road from big picture as a software architect to the more detailed view of the nitty gritty of the technicalities of an implementation. I am comfortable wherever I operate and I value being honest over everything else. While I like to think that I know quite a bit, if I doesn’t know I will readily admit it and try to find out.

I am also fascinated by stories, especially the clandestine type. I am a fan of detective shows, spy movies and books as well as anything that has a mystery with an authentic twist I don’t see coming (which is somewhat rare if I do say so myself). In summary, I enjoy life, enjoy the challenges it brings and the mystery it provides to ensure everything I do is as exciting as I can make it.
